Yes, To the best of my knowledge yes.
as the taxability of the income will not be affected by the death of the Employee
TDS shall be deducted u/s 192 since Gratuity is specificaly covered in the definition of "salary"
It will be taxable as Income from other sources in the hands of legal heirs...
Exemption u/s 10(10) is allowed.
