one of the emplyoee of my office got promotion before a day of his retirement say promoted on 29th june and retired on 30th.by this promotion he got an increment of 3% of his basic salary.Now i how want to know which basic salary will be used for the purpose of calculation of his gratuity.wheather gratuity his gratuity will be calculate on increased salary or on the average of the salary of that particular month.please explain.
