Yes..Fully agreed.I came to know just a few seconds before...Good news for many people...

PLS HELP ME TO CLARIFY MY.....

I AM A STUDENT WHO HAVE CLEARED IPCC GP2 AND A FIRST CLASS BCOM GRADUATE......MAY I GO FOR ARTICLESHIP NOW.................I HV WRITTEN IPCC GP1.....IN MAY 12 EXAM RESULTS ARE YET TO COME......IF SUPPOSE I DON CLEAR THEN NOW AM I OFFICIALLY ALLOWED TO JOIN ARTICLESHIP......

@ Anoop:

"A candidate who is a graduate or post graduate and has been exempted from passing the Common Proficiency Test shall be eligible to three years of articles training on his registration to the Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Course.”

But you were not exempted from CPT as you have already completed your CPT and you are into your IPCC now. So as per my interpretation, you are required to clear your IPCC Group I in order to commence your Articleship. (However, it is advisable to put your query @ www.icai.org/help).

My best wishes for your results!yes

Srikanth, why cant anoop cancel the existing registration with ICAI and make new registration on degree, for going direct article.

There Institute has made a proposal for the said notification in the last year, which has now actually come into force.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no such provision for cancelling existing registration and registering again on the basis of degree.
