In ITR government employee cannot show business income. However, state government allows all government doctor to do private practice. If said doctor not opt private practice then government increase their salary by 20% as non practice allowance. If they do practice how these income shown in ITR. Is this allowed to show as professional income under PGBP Head or in Other Sources. Suggest me ASAP.

This can be shown as professional income under PGBP Head, as no objection of employer.

Thanks sir.

Non practise allowancr provided by Govt is to be shown under Salary head.

Non practice allowance is received only if concent given by employee, otherwise concern emplyee is allowed to do practice and shown their income under head PGBP.
