Got the same amount of demand notice 2nd time though paid on AY 2020-2021

I'm no expert and can't advise you unfortunately. But they've done the same thing to me.

I got a demand for Rs 540 a few months ago. I saw no reason for the demand but decided it was less complicated to just pay it. So I paid it the very next day.

In October I got my refund.

Then in November i got a demand for the exact same period for Rs 390. Of course I did not pay it and asked them to return the 150 they took extra from me.

As expected - silence.

But they keep sending reminders saying I haven't paid. And my return status still says under processing.

Long live Infosys.

So do I make the payment once again ?

No - there is no need to pay again. 

Hopefully, at some point in our lifetime, Infosys issues will be resolved. But in the meantime since you have already paid the demand, you're in the clear. Keep the supporting evidence in case it is brought up later on.

Thanks for giving me some courage. I am really surprised to see that they really do not bother to reply our  mail. What kind of service they provide to the taxpayer. Why we do not protest for their poor service ?
