I'm on the lookout for a good practical book on MVAT and CST. The book should be 'practical' in nature and theoretical since it to be used by a CA in practice and not by a student appearing for an exam. Step by step details of filing returns, VAT audit etc. is what is required. Details such how to register for VAT no., how to file returns, how to VAT audit, how to get VAT refund are required.

No such books are available in market. you have to pratically learn from seniors.

I heard about BCAS(Bombay Chartered Accountants Society) book on VAT. Is such a book available? If yes, how is it and how big in terms of pages is the book?
Why are you bothering about no.of pages?
snow white's handbook on mvat is also good book in terms of lesser no.of pages
