Hi Everybody,

Can someone suggest me a good book on the indirect taxes, especially customs and excise, which gives a strong knowledge on the fundamentals?

AJAY JAIN IS VERY GOOD BOOK AND READ WITH HIS QUESTION BANK, THAT IS VERY USEFUL FOR EXAM POINT OF VIEW

VYDHEESWRAN INDIRECT TAXES BOOK IS PREFARABLE ALONG WITH COACHING. OTHERWISE FALLOW AJAY JAIN WITH QUESTION BANK

Go for Vaitheeswaran's book on indirect taxes. this is very useful in the examination point of view. If you want to gain absolute command over the subject, then go for yoginder bangar's book.

visit this website for primers on various indirect laws.. www.dateyvs.com gives mr. datey's primers on sales tax, excise, customs etc.. very informative and useful for quick reference
