If a student registered for articles before May 2012 and registered for GMCS-I (new) course even eligible for old GMCS course can also under go the GMCS-II course ?

But GMCS-I is applicable for those students, who are registered for articled training on or after 1st May, 2012.

Those who are registered for articled training prior to 1st May, 2012 shall be governed by the old GMCS Scheme.

Whenever a new batch is announced it gets booked immeaditely without even a second left. ICAI allots only 50 seats per batch. How & when to do GMCS with such difficulties? Does anyonw know how many batches are conducted in chennai per month and no of seats alloted?
