Gift Recd in Cah or Kind on the Occasion of Marraige is Exempt. But is that for Claiming such an Exemption withdrawals for the Marraige Expenses are required to be shown( as i dont much clear details regarding the Expenses... Plz Reply

SHWETA,GIFT ON MARRIAGE IS NOT TAXABLE IF IT IS RECIEVED FROM ANY LINEAL ASCENDENT OR DESCENDENT ie, ANY KIND OF RELATIVE AND NO NEED IS THERE FOR WITHDRAWAL OF MARRIAGE EXPENSES ALSO..THEY CAN B CLAIMED 2.
