Quick Summary
This discussion explores the permissibility of transferring two separate cash gifts totalling Rs. 190,000 to a father on different dates, specifically in relation to Section 269ST. Participants suggest that as long as each transaction is below the Rs. 2 lakh annual limit and considered separate events, it may not violate the provision. Gifts to close relatives are generally exempt, and the Rs. 2 lakh cash transfer limit per year is mentioned as a key consideration.

If these can be considered as 2 different events, then no violation u/s 269ST I think.

Cash transfer to close relative exempt i think
A gift to father -Exempt

But 269ST -Up to 2 Lakh /Year through cash allowed.

Then no offence.
