If PAN Card & PAN Allotement Letter, which are issued by income tax department during 1998, are misplaced, how I get new PAN card for the above PAN ?

Is it necesary to enclose the above details in "Request for new PAN card /or/and change or correction in PAN data application"

THE NSDL TFC ARE ACCEPTING SUCH APPLICATIONS ON "GOOD EFFORTS BASIS". I MEANS TO SAY THAT IN SUCH CASE PAN ALLOTMENT LETTER OR COPY OF PAN CARD IS NOT REQUIRED AND EVERY EFFORT SHOULD BE MADE TO PROCESS YOUR APPLICATION.

Yes it is necessary to provide a prove of PAN alloted which can be recd from your respective ward by applying for it

GOOD EFFORT BASIS MEANS THAT EVERY POSSIBLE EFFORTS WILL BE MADE, TO PROCESS THE APPLICATION, IF THE PAN MENTIONED IN APPLICATION BELONGS TO U.

Hi, Simply apply for a new PAN Card quoting your old PAN ..... and attaching your ID and address proof....as you do for applying a new PAN ..... But important is,you must mention your existing PAN in that application.

You should go to the income tax website https://incometaxindia.gov.in/ and go the Know your PAN link, enter all your details and it will display your PAN. Remove print out of the same and attach a copy along with the application. This is proof that the PAN belongs to you only.
