Futures and options Turnover

Hi

For calculation of  F&O turnover, ICAI has given a new guidance note which says

Premium received on sale of options is also to be included in turnover. However, where the premium received is included for determining net profit for transactions, the same should not be separately included.

My question is we would be considering the premium received/sale value for net profit from F & O calculation. Can anyone please clarify the same.

Thanks

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the calculation of Futures and Options (F&O) turnover, particularly regarding the inclusion of premiums received on option sales. According to new ICAI guidance, these premiums should be included in turnover unless they are already factored into the net profit calculation for the transactions. The consensus suggests that net profit and net loss should be combined to determine the overall turnover.

Premium received can't be considered as turnover..

Net profit and net loss should be clubbed to ascertain the turnover in FNO
Generally same is available in stock trading p&l , you can verify it
