Hi All! I am unable to work on the Form 3CD java utility that the income tax department has provided on the tax website for AY 2015-16. I have downloaded java 8. When I open the form 3CD utility, it displays the message "please select a valid X M L file". I am not sure if there is some problem with the java or it has got anything to with my operating system which is windows 8. Please do let me know if there is a solution for this. Thanks in advance! check the java update version, if it is more than 51 i..e latest is update 60 then this error gives. from add remove programmes see java ( control panel...programes...uninstall program.... see list will be appeared...java 8 update... version... see above 51 if it is 60 then uninstall and keep java 8 update 60.... problem will be solved.... same problem was me also using windows 7
