My client has business in Hyderabad and they have contract in Lucknow, they want to send uniform (Cloth) material purchased in hyderabad to the staff working in Lucknow.
When enquired with transport people, they told to get form 38, but why should we obtain form 38 when that cloth is meant for use of staff in lucknow ?
If form 38 required then how to obtain it and from where, please tell me the procedures !

First of all you should know that, Form 38 is mandatary for taxable goods import from out side U.P.. and fabric is exempt, other side if your want from 38 for any taxable goods. Your lucknow branch will provide you, if it is not regd. with UP VAT, then contact local vat departmment and ask for from 39 for import goods from outside U.P.
