Form 16 (salary certificate) not recd.

If an employee did'nt get Form-16 (Salary Certificate) for the f.y. 2011-12 from his employer and TDS has already decuted from his salary. So, in this case how can an employee file Income Tax Return and what are the consiquences at employee's part? Pls. reply

He can verify his Tax Credit by login on to the site https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/portal/index.jsp and then go to the "MY ACCOUNT" section and selecting the option "VIEW TAX CREDIT STATEMENT(26AS)" thereafter providing the DOB of the assessee you will be directed to the site of NSDL were you will get the complete Tax Credit Statement for the said F.Y. and verification you can easily file the ITR of the said assessee inspite of the fact whether he has recieved his Form 16 or not. Hopefully, above process will resolve your query.
