Forgot to show income from savings a/c for form 16 purpose.

I am employed under state govt and this year due to misunderstanding, I neglected to show probable income from savings bank account when my employer asked to provide details of income, tax savings etc for preparing form 16 for the previous year'12-13. I thought since this is less than Rs. 10thousands, there is no need to show; later I realized the correct way is to show this for total income and then claim deduction u/s 80TTA. So my form 16 will not show this fact. Is there any problem if I correct this mistake and prepare return accordingly? Are such differences in form 16 and IT return seen with suspicion by the income tax commissioner?
