I m going to write my exam in May 2013 (IPCC), can anyone clarify me the following doubts:
1. Which A.Y year i should follow im May 2013 exam?
2. In accounts - i will be having simple problems in Partnership accounts i mean small Question or Big Question?
3. If im not quoting relevant case laws in Income tax and Company Law, Can i get Good Marks?
1. A.Y 2013-14 will be relevant for May 2013 & Nov 2013 Examination.
2. It may be combination of short and large size problems that may appear in the examination, so be prepared for any type.
3. It is a myth amongst many students that quoting a section is must. Please cite the relevant case law or provision of the Act, only if you are 100% sure of it. If you cannot remember the exact section, please just write the broad contours of the provision and never attempt to guess a section. It is like teasing the examiner; if you quote a wrong section and invite his wrath to curtail your marks, why invite unnecessary trouble. At times, it is better to be innocent rather to bluff.
