I have qualified in May, 2012 and planning to open a partnership firm. I have received my membership no. but have not applied for the COP. Please tell me if I can apply for firm name approval and cop together? Is there any requirement that a person should already have COP before applying for firm name approval?????
Yes you can apply for both COP as well as Firm name approval.
However, you need to apply to Head Office i.e, New Delhi to get firm name approval but incase of COP, you should apply to concerned Decentralised office.
After COP only one can apply for firm name approval.
Thanks Mr. Subhash for your reply. So this means i cannot apply for firm name approval unless I receive my COP which takes around 10-15 days. Can I apply both these together?
