Financial Assets are those ASSETS where the maturity value/claim depends upon some contract. E.g.- Debentures, Bank FD, Shares etc..

Financial Assets means an asset that derives value because of a contractual claim. Stocks, bonds, bank deposits, and the like are all examples of financial assets.
