Filling up itr2 for ltcg 54f exemption

ITR 670 views 2 replies

Land sold and LTCG used to pay installment for new flat. I will get pocession sep/14 only. But I have paid all amount and UDS registered already. In this years ITR2 its asking for details in ITEM D for exemptions under 54f.

In LTCG column I have filled the whole consideration and also show it as 54f exemption.

In Item D should I say purchased flat and it asks aquisition date, what do i say Sep/14? Will this be ok since the date will be after the filing of return.

thanks

As it seems from the descripttion, the deduction being claimed is on the basis of payment of substantial/complete amount towards the purchase, hence the recent date on which such substantial payment waws made be quoted in the column refered

date of acquisition being date of signing of agreement for purchase of flat.
