Suppose my income from other sources (Schedule OS of ITR 2) is Rs. 1,80,000/- and STCG (STT paid) is Rs. 25,000/- so as per rule I should be liable to pay tax @ 15% on Rs. 5000/- only (After taking benefit of exemption limit up to Rs 200000/- (FY 2013-14).
But ITR 2 (Java based software) is not calculating by giving benefit of exemption limit . Can somebody suggest how to fill data in ITR 2 so that it may give effect of benefit of exemption limit ?
