Filing Retuen for A 2008 2009

Mr KARUNESH YOUR WIFE CAN FILE RETURN FOR AY 2009-10 UPTO 31ST MARCH,2011.

BUT FOR AY 2008-09 , IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FILED UPTO 31ST MARCH 2010. ( i e WITHIN ONE YEAR FROM END OF AY).FURTHER NO PENALTY WILL BE LAVIED FOR AY 2009-10 AS TAX PAYABLE IS NIL.

I agree with Mr.Manoj reply. Actually if she is not having any other income other than business inc of Rs. 1 Lakh, there is no need for her to file IT returns as it is below maximum amt not chargeable to tax. Hence no question of penaly also.

Agree with above....No need to file the return since the income is below the basic exemption...

Moreover  A.Y. 2009-10 can be filed on or before 31.03.2011... One year from the end of relevant A.Y....i.e. 31.03.2010.

U can file only 2009-10 return and the return could be filed upto 31.03.2011. 

No need to file the return of A.Y. 2008-09 because income of 2008-09 is below the exemption limit.
