Sir,

For the Assessment Year 2012-13 income tax returns were not filled till date. For this year an amount of Rs.3580 refund is due.

Today i.e., on 1.8.2014, I uploaded through e-filing the income tax returns for the

assessement year 2014-15

assessement year 2013-15

For uploading returns for AY 2012-13, I filled all the columns and when I pressed submit button it is showing

"the due date for filling is over".

Now, please suggest me what should done for this case as I have a refund of Rs.3580 for the AY 2012-13.

File the manual return.

you can not filled return for the for the ay 2012-13 now time because the time limit of fill belated and revised return is overed so you can not claim .

Please refer to the correct answer for your question as below:

A provision has been made by the CBDT for an application to the CIT, in terms of S. 119(2)(b), for condonation of delay in filing return of income by the due date or the extended due date. Such an application is possible in cases of refund of taxes paid or deducted, and is subject to fulfilment of other conditions.

It is common to come across cases of persons who have failed to file a return of income within the time stipulated u/s.139, and that the Income-tax Department has also not issued any notice u/s.148 in such cases. It is also common that in some of such cases, excess tax is paid and a refund is otherwise due.

Thus, you may make an application to CIT.
