THS IS THE FIRST TIME WHEN I AM GOING FOR AN STATUTORY BANK AUDIT OF PNB... I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THAT... WHAT TO DO THERE... MY SIR HAS GIVEN ME THAT TASK BUT HASNT TOLD ME MUCH ABOUT THAT... I HAVE JUST 300 PAGES GUIDELINES ISSUED BY THE BANK AND ICAI ON ABOUT BANK AUDIT...AND I AM FINDING IT TOUGH TO COVER IT FULL.....PLS HELP ME . I M REALLY TENSED...

I am herewith attaching the guide lines issued by the Indian Bank to its branch auditors. It is some what relating to the year 2010-11. It may give you a practical view on bank audit and areas to be verified. It is simple and exhaustive. The latest NPA norms may be followed. To my knowledge no other banks give such guidelines.
