Dipa, I would recommend that you file it immediately.

Your Authorised Dealer may ask you to submit a reason for delay, in which you can explain the cause for non-filing. Alternatively, you can suo-moto file an application for condonation to RBI through your authorised dealer. If RBI accepts your explanation, well and good. Otherwise you may approach the compounding authority in RBI for compounding the offence.
