Please help me to know whether -
1. Any expenses incurred on sponsoring the conference expenses of doctor by the pharma company - liable for the FBT. (Example Hotel & lodging expenses and traveling expenses)
2. Sponsorship directly given to the medical association- is it liable for FBT. (Example; Sponsoring Dinner and lunch expenses)

1. YES. conference expenses other than conference fee (including hotel and boarding exp) is liable to FBT. Sec.115W(2)(C) clearly states that..........
2. as for second not sure......

hi For your first query,actually fbt liability arises if company is calling them as advisors/dealers and expenses related to travelling n hotels will be directed to there respective heads so will not be considered under conference. And for the second one not surely,but yes! |
