Is it necessary that the firm in which we do our articleship training we have to complete our extension period of articleship ?
Also if I complete my articleship on 5-2-2010 than my extension period should start on 6-10-2010.

No. I dont think its not necessary to continue ur extension with the same CA. however i'm not sure about the procedure in that case.
And in case u want to start ur extension period a little later than the time when ur articleship ends i.e. as u stated - 17.05.2010, then u have to re-register urself by submitting fresh copies of forms 102 and 103, and supplementary registration as validated by form 107 will not be applicable to u
