Export of service query

Dear Sirs,

I am an IT professional employed by a company in Bangalore. They were suposed to setup a new office in Pune for which they employed me. In the absence of any infrastructure in Pune, they paid my salary as consultation fee directly from the US office in USD converted to INR into my savings account. The total value of the transactions from february 2012 to october 2012 will be 13,60,000/-. Am I supposed to pay service tax on this amount? Do I need to register for service tax? the company is closing down and october will be the last clearance of my dues.

Any help is appreciated.

regards

Sid
