Dear Friends,

I'm doing an ecommerce startup in india so need to get a GST soon. Before that I have certain doubts, please help me in getting answers to these....

1. Requirements for applying Input GST number.

2. How many returns need to be filed per year and at what intervals. Are there any videos available to do that myself? or only CA's can do.

3. I'm planning to keep multiple items on my website, Do I need separate GST for each category.. ? like Cloths/Toys/Electric Items/Jewellery/Soaps/Furniture etc.

4. I was a salaried person for past 15+ years, will it cause any issues if I apply for GST. I've filed all my previous ITR's on time and currently not in service.

following is reply point wise.
1. Query not clear please eloborate
2. Monthly 2 returns and yearly 2 returns so over all 26 returns. apart from this there is a concept of TCS depending upon your business structure this return will be applicable.
3.ONE GST for all the category.
4. No corelation can be drawn bwtween your previous income line and current venture so there will be no issue.

specifically on return filing it is not that you cant do but better to go with professional because in gst we cant ammend. and piece meal advice is misleading so flow of every month operational data is required so better to hire a professional.
