Exemption u/s 54F

An individual, having no house property, bought one Residential property in Apr-18 to avail exemption u/s 54f of LTCG of FY 17-18.
Now, can he buy one more residential property in JULY-19 to claim exemption u/s 54F for LTCG arising in Fy 18-19?

Yes a new residentail house can be brought after one year from the transfer of original asset and maximum 2 houses. So your exmaple is correct.

Thank you Mr. Thangavelu. But Sec 54 allows only 1 HP ever, if I m not wrong. So doesn't it applicable to 54F even?? Pls confirm

Sec 54 is for LTCG on sale of residential property.If you sell house and then only one HP is allowed. But 54F is for any long term immovable property where you can have 2 houses max. So your right in the first case.
