Exemption in paper

It is also compulsory to get atleast 20 marks per paper to claim exemption? 

for example 1st group of ipcc i got

a/c      :-    50

i.t.        :-    65

law      :-     45

c&fm   :-     15

Now my question is can institute give me exemption in income tax paper ?
