I had been working in a CA firm since Sept 04 & i enrolled myself to CA PE II (after B Com) in the middle of 2005. As it has been more then 3 years of experience in a CA firm, is there any chances of getting exemption from doing articleship again.
Somewhere i heard that if the firm has intimated the ICAI regarding a student working as a audit assistant, then the student can get the exemption.
Pls let me know if it is so.

There is no exemption in articleship because for CAPE-II students, articleship starts after passing the PE-II examination. Even though you have worked for more than 3 years with CA firm but it will not be considered as your articleship training.

ARE THERE AUDIT FIRMS OTHER THAN BIG FOUR WHO PAY ARTICLESHIP STIPEND FOR PE 2 PASS IN THE RANGE OF 8000--9000 ? WHY B'COZ THERE ARE SOME STUDENTS WHO ARE VERY MUCH INTERESTED IN PURSUING THE COURSE APART FROM MEETING THEIR MONTHLY HOUSEHOLD EXPENSES . IF SO PLEASE PROVIDE ME CONTACT INFO ABOUT THE FIRMS.
