I have a querry regarding Excise Registration Certificate.

 

My client is a trader in Exciseable goods and passes CENVAT recd from Importer and First Stage dealers.

It has its godown in Bhiwandi and Regd office is at Andheri.

The address on Registration Certificate is that of Andheri office.

So, my querry is whether the registration should be for Godowns address or at the Regd Office?

 

Kindly suggest.

registration should be done at the godown address, on the godown only all the materials will send to final sale through godown first get the registration certificate on the godown address, office address u can add as secondary address

n case there is a shifting of existing premises a new central excise registration certificate is to be applied for and the previous one is to be surrendered. It is necessary to do so, especially when there is a change in the Commissionerate or the division or the range.

If there is no change in the Commissionerate or the division, the tax payer can simply intimate its range Assistant Commissioner merely through a letter of change in the address of the premises.
