A Company is into the maufacture of Liquor in the state of tamil nadu.

The company personnel says that the liquor is covered under the state excise and not the central excise. Is it right?

Can anyone tell me the Effective Rate of Excise Duty on Alcoholic Liquor?

excise duty on alcohals are state matter, and its controlled by state excise department, there are numbers of duty rates and structures in tamilnadu, to get details you have to get in touch with TAMIL NADU STATE MARKETING CORPORATION LIMITED (TASMAC)
