I heard that in india Exsice duty is exempted for Water purifiers.. Please confirm the same and i buy various parts and assemble the water purifiers.. pls do the needful and confirm that whether i need to pay excise duty..

Notification No. 12/2012 dated 17-03-2012 exempts water purifiers falling under HS Code 8421 21(except 8421 2120) while for HS Code 8421 2120 6% duty is applicable. You have to first decide the HS Code of your product.
