Hi Ankit,

I bought a laptop worth 18000INR from US. I paid Rs.4200 as customs duty.

So u might be asked to pay 25% or more of the value of IPHONE as customs.

I PHONE ATTRCT 2% DUTY ON MRP LESS ABATEMENT @ 35%.  ( 1% CVD AND 1% NCCD)

MRP WILL BE ASSERTAINED AT THE PRICE AT WHICH NORMALLY IT IS SOLD IN RETAIL, IN INDIA .

First of all iPhone and electronic gadgets can't be courierd

My bro also lives in USA

he came India on 2 nd dec 2011 then he gifted me iPhone 4s

i would recommend u to buy from India only bcoz if ur some hardware probs crops up to ur phn then no one in India will repair iITSM choose ur decision wisely
