Excise - 2 companies with single address

It is preferable to shift your non excisable firm to some other place.

I am trying to figure out a way in which i dont have to move my other company to a new location as moving to a new location involves a lot of cost, administrative hassles. 

So any solution or precedence by law in which 2 companies can have 1 address but only 1 company is covered under excise 

Well under law there is no hindrance of operating 2 companies from one address. The other co can pay rent to the owner co and need to be segregation of assets and books of accounts just to prove your point and to make sure that you are not irreasonably harrased by the competent authority.
