Exchange control copy for export

Dear Sir, we need to know whether the exchange control copy is mandatory for bank for inward remittance. Last year 13.7.2016, we have done one export and we didn't received the exchange control copy from our freight agent. we received only EP copy. we have submitted the EP copy to our bank for the inward payment remittance, but they refused to receive. they need only exchange control copy. They are not crediting the payment to us. what is the procedure. K.Vijayakumar
