Its as simple as you do sum in excel sheet. here is the formula of your query. just follow the step, copy all your these no. and paste in first cell (A1) of excel sheet AND at in cell no. A16 paste the formula which is in bold letters.

for eg.

=SUM(A1+A3+A5+(A7)+(A9)+A11+A13+(A15))

=SUM(A1+A3+A5+(A7)+(A9)+A11+A13+(A15))

and you are done ;)

in A1 write 556

in A3write 654

in A5 write 822

in A7 write -456

in A9 write -64

in A11 write 564

in A13 write 68

in A15 write -900

and in A16 write the whole formula

=SUM(A1+A3+A5+(A7)+(A9)+A11+A13+(A15))

There are 8 nos, some in -ve also, you are doing like zigzag, SUM(A1+A3+A5+(A7)+(A9)+A11+A13+(A15)) why? please explain?

are u using any special formula, u r using up to cell a15. where as data contains up to cell 8.

this is because there are some nos. in -ve value,

and in excel we will use bracket for -ve value nos.

Result = Name 18

for addition of above

in A1 write 556

in A3write 654

in A5 write 822

in A7 write -456

in A9 write -64

in A11 write 564

in A13 write 68

in A15 write -900

and in A16 write the whole formula 

=Sum(A1:A15)

this is also a simple way to calculate +ve and -ve value together ;)
