Exam query

I have two doubts pertaining to ipcc exams -

1.In Law and Income Tax, while quoting relevant case laws, do we need to precisely name all the parties involved in that historic decision or can we just focus on writing the crux of that judgement?

2.appears very childish , but i feel it is a very touchy point:

can we use the margin while drawing up various ledger accounts?

can we mention figures in representative place values(in 1000's or in lakhs) during accounting , costing or fm   papers?

comments appreciated

as far as your case laws are concerned write name if you are super sure abt it else crux of matter is fine.

and abt using margin and writin fig in 000 or crores if no. are too big then you can use this things

Frnd...institute doesn't want us to quote case laws instd just crux will do...n yes u can draw lines for ledgrs Since u r cost fan dn cn u help me wddat subject...I Neva passed in it plzzz!

m appearing for first time in ipcc in may 13 attempt myself

anyways i will tell you wat i think is good enough for costing:

a good command over mathematics (basic maths , not derivatives , integration etc)

solid reading of theory
becos i read somewhere that costing fm is one subject where theory questions are asked explicitly

also ur practical part will be fairly easy if u have good grasp over various concepts and basic maths

i dont think der is need to solve 100s of sums for every topic

All the best
