Exam form ca final

Hello, Mysef Puloma Gambhir I am facing problem while filling my examination form for CA FINAL EXAM MAY 2017. My articleship commenced on 29/10/2014 I have switched over to new firm on dated 29.01.2015. I have taken excess leave of 74 days during my employment period with previous CA FIRM i.e. from 29.10.2014 to 28.01.2015. Now, when I am filling my exam form for may 2017 my current principal is stating that I am not eligible to appear in may 2017 attempt as my articleship is not going to complete on 31.10.2017 including my excess leaves which is 74 days. But I donโ€™t want to sacrifice my attempt so what are remedial measures for me? If my principal agrees to sign my examination form stating that I will complete my training before 31.10.2017 is there any objection against my principal or myself? Please help me ASAP as last date for my exam form is 24th Feb, 2017.

Hi ,
Well it seems that your principal is right.

However according to me the only possibility of a way out is to check rules regarding extensions. Whether extension is calculated on an aggregate basis or a per term basis. If it is calculated on an aggregate basis i.e. the extension in the first term gets sets off in the leaves NOT availed during the next term then you might just be eligible and claim to complete your articleship on or before 31Oct2017.

Wait for someones reply here and also call / visit your nearest regional centre and ask them to check whether you're eligible or no.
