Exact No. of Leaves

If your articleship is of 3.5 years then you are allowed the leaves of 178 days.

and if the articleship is for 3 years??

During the period of training, an articled / audit clerk is entitled for leave earned @ one-seventh of the actual period served, excluding from such period, the period for which he has been on leave.

For eg. in 3.5 years of training a person has taken leave of 8 months leave allowed would be

1260(3.5*12*30) - 240 (8*30) / 7 = 145

In this case leave allowed is 145 days but leave taken is 240 days so his articleship would be extened for a period of 95 days (240-145)
