Do we need to attach eway bill copy alongwith Einvoice generated if we have mentioned Eway bill No. on the invoice itself. Is separate copy required to be attached of eway bill with Einvoice.

I don't think a copy of ewaybill would be needed in that case.
It's better to attach the eway bill copy because if there is an inspection during transit the transporter needs to have the eway bill.
In case of inspection, the officer can download eway bill details through the eway bill no. mentioned on the invoice. They have such instruments with them I believe. One of our vendor does not provide eway bill and only mentions the eway bill no. and claims that it is not necessary in case of e-invoice so I had the query.

Yes, you are right. Also, the ewaybill generated by the supplier usually does not contain details like vehicle number etc (in case of transportation by road). So it would be even incomplete in such instances.
