Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the complexities of generating e-way bills when four parties are involved in a transaction, particularly concerning the 'bill to, ship to' model. The core issue arises when a buyer (C) purchases from a wholesaler (B), who then orders directly from a manufacturer (A) to ship to the buyer (C). Further complications occur when C then 'sells' to D, who is at the same physical location. The consensus suggests that if C and D share the same registered address or warehouse, and the sale is on an 'as is, where is' basis with no actual goods movement between them, an e-way bill from C to D may not be required.

As you said, location of C and D is same, i am presuming that you mean to say that both firms are registered at the same address or using the same warehouse etc.

Then EWB not required for sale from C to D.

In case of sale of goods on “as is – where is” basis, there is no movement of goods. Hence, there is no need to generate e-way bill in such cases.

Yes both firms have same owner but for some reason we do intra sale so is any need to generate e way bill or not o
