EVC generated but not received

Dear All,

My union bank (not from merged PNB or Andhra) account has been prevalidated and evc enabled.

Yet when I try to generate EVC thru this A/C from within my efiling portal, it says that EVC generated and sent to my mobile and email but nothing is received. Since yesterday I have tried 3 - 4 times but nothing is being received. Both my mobile and email are active and receiving several other OTPs and email msgs. I have also chcked my spam folder. Nothings therein.

Something is going wrong with EVC.

Does anyone know if this could be bank's issue or efiling portal issue? A friend of mine who has A/c in central bank received it correctly. I called efiling helpdesk but  after 15 minutes of waiting call eventually dropped.

Also the email id & mobile number in bank records and my profile on efiling are same. 

Also I noticed that this year the option to e-verify your ITR by logging thru Net banking is no longer offered? Is that true? I could not find any option anywhere. Even EVC from Netbanking does not show Union Bank in the drop down.

While I might be able to verify thru adhar OTP I want to know why EVC is failing.

Any clarity shall be good to know.

Hi, there are several issues have been raised w.r.t prevalidation of Bank account, login through IB, Generation of OTP via EVC. I think you might wait more time for portal updation.

Everify via Aadhar OTP is possible and it's facilitated

Issue still persists. Anyone having Union bank account facing the same issue? It's unclear if the issue is at portal or in the bank side.

Issue still persist. Neither Union Bank of India nor Incometax Dept are providing any help! Also Union Bank offers NetBanking login to efiling but on IT portal Union Bank is not listed to e-verify return thru netbanking!

even yesterday (19 August 2021)  the problem persists for my son who  is Indian origin USA citizen. He cannot have Adhaar card and so no LINKING..

The issue of EVC generated but not received at all still exists!! It's now 3 months gone by but no fix. Union bank has provided no support and my grievance logged on IT portal has not yet been attended.

IT Dept closed my grievance without any solution. They said since ITR is validated thru other means, this is not relevant! No one knows the real problem and the actual solution. 

After more than 3 months finally the helpdesk from efiling web manager email have replied.

They say that they have fixed the issue. 

However since there was no solution in sight and neither from union bank nor IT helpdesk, I went ahead and opened a brand new account with bank of baroda, linked it prevalidated on my IT portal, EVC enabled and everything worked with this new account.

 

I am facing the issue again. Successfully generated EVC. The message said that the EVC has been sent by registered email id. But not received after multiple trial. Is anyone also having the same problem?

I finally got the EVC after waiting for an hour or so.

Am in USA - NRI. India Auditor has ' Generated EVC for Form 15 CA/CB for Foreign Funds Transfer from my Indian to U.S. Account. 

It did work March 2024, but fast forward to July 2024 No Luck !!! 

For only $ 9990/-. 

SMS to Registered # , nor to Gmail ....Registered @ Bank & I.T. Dept.....

Any Ideas People ??
