eTDS RPU in Windows 7

14285 views 13 replies

The e TDS RPU version available in www.tin-nsdl.com, if installed in a Windows 7 OS doesn't work.

The .ocx file is not properly registered, it says.

Registry has ben cleaned and yet the result is the same.

Can someone who've done it on a Windows 7 platform suggest a solution.?

Thanks in advance.

PS: No such problems in Windows XP.

Follow below steps :-

1.  You must have Administrator rights

2. Go to Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Click on "Change User Account Control Settings"

3.  Set to "Never Notify"

4.  Now re-install your software and you will be able to install successfully..

All the best ...

Thank You Mr. VP Singh.! Works Perfectly now.!! :)

it is still nt working for me..i have windows 7 home basic 64 bit..

and i dont know how to clean up my registry..please help i need it very badly..

For running RPU in Win 7, there is no registry related issues involved.  It is only a software which woks on Win platform and no relation with registry values.

You can delete the RPU manually as follows :

My Computer > C > e-TDS RPU 2.4 / 2.5 - delete this folder and run the set up file again.

It will work....

@ SIVARAMAN It may be an ordinary software but I've done what you've said numerous times and I still got a negative answer. But VP Singh's suggestion did work for me.

Dear friends,

I provide the method, which worked for me and with the hope that may work for others, who are in search for solution. And the method is working fine for us, we have tried this for 10-12 machines.

Thanks

I also met with the same problem as posted by Mr.Sankar Ram and Mr.V.P.Singh's clue is really great. Thanks to Mr.V.P.singh
