I am running a proprietorship for IT services employing 15 employees.
Do I have to register for ESI?
Moreover I have taken health insurance for employees from icici lombard. Do I still have to go for ESI?
Any information in this regard is appreciated.

Dear Xien,
Being a IT firm does not absolve it fro registration umder PF & ESI acts, further, if you are insuring your employees by way of health insurance also does not absolve the firm, to seek exemption from ESI you must file an application for exemption from the ESI act with the concerned authorities.
