Is it possible that this rate is varried upon the industry wise. cause where i am working they deduct the ESI 1.75% on Basic+HRA+Convenyence+Education Allowence.

Dear all,
"Retainers have joined the company in the month of January, ESIC is not deducted in jan,feb and march. The management says that only after the year ends, the ESIC gets deducted every month i.e. from april and the amount to be deducted in jan,feb&march gets deducted in april."
This is my audit query , plz help me by confirmirng whether the process that the company is following is correct or not.
