I am compiling an updated Income Tax Return under Section 139(8A) using the excel utility offloaded from Income Tax portal . I am using form ITR-2. During validation and calculation of tax , I am getting an error message as under:
" Descripttion at SR Number 1 in sheet E1, is compulsory."
The sheet E1 is for reporting exempt income. I don't have any exempt income , so I have reported 0 income. I cant see any provision for giving descripttion in sheet E1 format.
Can someone guide on action to be taken.
