Error in Income tax preparation software for ITR -3

even i am also getting the same error in uploading the form ERROR : Please correct the following errors and upload the XML again. [FATAL_ERROR] : Invalid text '' in element: 'CityOrTownOrDistrict' pls help me if ne body can ........... i have also mailed at the income tax.............but no reply from there

My mails with the Income tax Department guys... Dear Abhilasha Barua. No, your reply has not helped. The software error is still there. It is not me alone who is facing this proble. Many others are also facing this problem. Kindly update your software. I have already efiled in ITR 1 and ITR 2 for my clients and the only thing remaining to be filed is ITR 3 for myself !!!!!! You are probably getting that message when your client has Income from House Property & the address field under that head is left blank or there's some error in it. Kindly check the same again.

Dear friend. Nothing works. I mean Nothing. I am a bit of an expert in these things and I have tried every possible combination. It is software error in ITR 3. I am taking a printout of the ITR3 and am going to stand in the line today to file my return. Honable Finance minister doesnot seem to realise that TRP thing has not really been successful.... Those guys are still learning the ropes....., Post offices scheme has been disbanded... and we have this software error not solved till the last minute .... and he still wants us to be an honest tax filer. I too am gettting the same error on the ITR 3. moreover, the site is not even accessible close to the due date. This "e-file anytine anywhere" is just not working.....

I got same error while uploading ITR-2. Below is email to IT dept. Hi, Please help me understand why uploading fails. I did all efforts, from updating Adobe reader to regenerating XML with no '0', but still getting below error. ERROR : Please correct the following errors and upload the XML again. Dear friends. As long as we have paid our tax we need not worry as the last date is past as on today. We still have time till 31st March 2008 to file our return without any penalty of Rs. 5000. I am awaiting the reply to my email on ITR 3 except for one communication from the IT guys. I decided against standing in the line and am waiting for the software error to be rectified. Let us hope that they will do so by October 31 when many corporates have to keep up their dates with the Department. It is strange to notice the same fate in ITR 2 , as I have successfully uploaded ITR 2 for my clients.

[FATAL_ERROR] : Invalid text '' in element: 'CityOrTownOrDistrict'" while trying to upload ITR-2. Being last minutes i don't think we would be able to upload now .

i have gotten patches for ITR-4,5,6 to anble us to fill figure with (-) minus sign. we have connected patch to our ITR-forms and received massage as "file upaded" but still its are not accepts (-) minus sign. please rectify the error
